Astro Wars – Code of Conduct

Fair Play, Honor and Responsibility

By joining Astro Wars, every player and every alliance agrees to comply with the following rules and commits not only to the wording, but also to the spirit and intention of this policy.

The purpose of these rules is to ensure fair, honest and competitive gameplay for all participants.

§1 Fundamental Principles

  1. Every player and every alliance commits to fair conduct towards all other participants.
  2. Any attempt to gain advantages through dishonorable, manipulative or rule-breaking behavior violates the spirit of Astro Wars and will be punished.
  3. Compliance with this policy is the shared responsibility of all players and alliances.
  4. Fairness, transparency and competition take priority over individual advantage.

§2 Duty to Report and Shared Responsibility

  1. Every alliance and every player is required to report known or suspected violations of this policy without delay.
  2. This explicitly includes violations committed within one’s own alliance or by allied players.
  3. Anyone who knowingly tolerates, conceals, supports or actively covers up violations, or intentionally withholds relevant information during investigations, is considered complicit and may also face sanctions.

§3 Prohibited Conduct

  1. The use of multiple active player accounts by the same person (“multi-accounts”) is prohibited.
  2. The use of so-called “cow accounts” or support accounts that exist primarily or exclusively to provide advantages to other players is prohibited.
  3. Account sharing, hidden account takeovers or the use of other players’ accounts to bypass game mechanics or sanctions is prohibited.
  4. The public disclosure of private player information or personal data is prohibited.
  5. Exploiting bugs, exploits or technical issues, as well as intentionally failing to report such vulnerabilities, will be sanctioned.
  6. Any form of manipulation, deception or dishonorable conduct intended to gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
  7. Organized circumvention of the game rules by groups or alliances, as well as agreements intended to manipulate competition outside the intended game framework, are prohibited.
  8. Intimidation, threats or targeted harassment of other players will not be tolerated.
  9. The use of bots, AI systems, scripts or any other tools to automate player actions is prohibited.
  10. The use of proxies, external tools, data collection or data enrichment is generally permitted within a reasonable and fair scope. However, players are strongly encouraged to disclose such tools or methods to the Game Admins in advance in order to avoid misunderstandings or future disputes.

§4 Investigations and Procedures

  1. In cases of clear and verifiable violations, actions may be taken directly by the Game Admins.
  2. In unclear, disputed or extensive cases, a public tribunal may be convened.
  3. The tribunal evaluates the available evidence and publicly decides on guilt, shared responsibility and consequences.
  4. Players and alliances are required to fully cooperate during investigations.
  5. The intentional destruction, concealment or manipulation of evidence will be treated as a serious additional offense.
  6. Decisions made by the game administration or a tribunal may be published in order to ensure transparency within the community.
  7. Players sharing the same IP address, household or network connection are required to report this to the Game Admins before joining the game. This information may be disclosed during disputes, investigations or public proceedings if necessary to clarify suspicions.
  8. To ensure fair competition, a specialized multi-detection system exists that collects technical data and uses modern analysis and AI-supported methods to identify, evaluate and document suspicious behavior.
  9. Violations may still be investigated and punished after a round has ended. This explicitly includes the retroactive removal of honor, achievements, rankings or victories.
  10. Tracking, analysis and gameplay data may be made available to the community in anonymized form for independent evaluation and transparency.

§5 Possible Consequences

  1. Depending on the severity and scope of a violation, the following measures may be imposed:
    1. Public labeling of an account as suspicious or flagged
    2. Public disclosure of misconduct and resulting loss of honor
    3. Temporary suspension of individual or all involved accounts
    4. Permanent suspension or deletion of involved accounts
    5. Sanctions against entire alliances
    6. Removal from rankings or revocation of achievements
    7. Temporary suspension of the current round to investigate major violations
    8. Complete cancellation of a round in cases of severe manipulation involving multiple individuals or entire alliances
  2. The decision regarding the type, scope and duration of sanctions lies with the game administration or the tribunal.

§6 Responsibility of Alliances

  1. Alliances share responsibility for the behavior of their members.
  2. Alliance leadership is required to take suspicions seriously and actively promote compliance with the rules internally.
  3. Organized support, tolerance or concealment of rule violations within an alliance may result in sanctions against the entire alliance.

§7 Agreement

Before joining the game for the first time, every player must actively confirm the current Code of Conduct.

Consent is given through a mandatory checkbox or in-game dialog.

Participation in the game is not possible without this agreement.

Player consent is logged by the system.
